After leaving the district (i.e. student graduation, student transfer, teacher leaving the district), a user’s Google Apps account is suspended. Google doesn't have a simple way to transfer everything from one account to another, but there are a few ways to get the information you want downloaded so you can import it into a personal Google account before leaving the district.
We recommend moving your data 2 weeks prior to your last day to ensure the process completes and you have access to technical support if needed.
** Please note: once your account is disabled it will
not be reopened to retrieve documents that were left behind.**

Suggested Method:
Your GCISD Google Drive has unlimited storage capabilities however free consumer Google accounts only have 2Gb. We suggest selecting only the documents you want to keep, downloading them to your hard drive, and saving them to an external flash drive for copying to your personal computer or Google account.
Contacts can be exported from the menu option in the sidebar.

Important: Moving documents out of a folder that is shared with others will cause those users to lose access. In this instance, please make a copy of the document leaving the original intact.
Google Takeout:
Google has an alternate method of archiving and download your data called Takeout however it has proven to be a problem for many of our users and therefore we no longer recommend it. You are free to give it a try if you like but we may not be able to support any issues that you incur. Instructions can be found at the link below:
